Gameplay
The footage shown at Eł show real-time amazing battles. They are simular to Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XII battles. Exept they do not have the color arcs linking player to target. Square Enix recently confirmed that the game will in fact feature a real-time battle system.
Battle System Overview
Toriyama stated in a developer interview, that the E3 Trailer shows what is known as the 'Gravity Bomb', known as the spell 'Gravity' in previous games. It refers to the electrical energy field that surrounds the young woman shown in the trailer. You can use it in the game to defy gravity or to attack enemies.
Other things about the Gameplay
Producer Yoshinori Kitase has stated in the developer interview that players will also be able to take advantage of special online features, while of course the mainfocus will be offline. I really hope they expand the online portion a lot more so that the game will have an even longer lasting time.
